New partnership propels TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK Full Throttle into 2024

  • Fullriver Battery Group races onto the grid in UK’s premier motorsport series

  • American brand eager to accelerate promotion of new Full Throttle range

  • Team’s Toyota Corollas to carry company’s logo throughout upcoming season

TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK will charge into the forthcoming British Touring Car Championship campaign with the support of Fullriver Battery Group, as the ambitious and enterprising American brand bids to leverage participation in the UK’s premier motor racing series to catapult its Full Throttle range into the fast lane.

Headquartered in California, Fullriver Battery is renowned for the premium nature of its products. Unlike many of its competitors, all Fullriver batteries are produced, from start to finish, in-house at the company’s award-winning manufacturing facilities, ensuring total quality control.

Having successfully forged a footing in the United States, the brand is now expanding globally, with a particular focus on Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The UK is a key market in that drive, with Fullriver keen to take advantage of the BTCC’s invested audience and unrivalled reach to showcase the capabilities of its batteries while raising visibility of its pioneering Full Throttle range – designed from the ground up to handle the increasing demands of today’s vehicles.

Run by double BTCC Independents’ Champions Speedworks Motorsport, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK will field a two-car line-up in the fiercely-contested series in 2024, with reigning Jack Sears Trophy winner Andrew Watson already confirmed on the driving front and the Northern Irishman’s team-mate set to be revealed in due course.

Racing will get underway at Donington Park on 27/28 April – home soil for the British-built Corolla GR Sport, whose road-going cousins are produced at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK (TMUK) in nearby Burnaston. All of the action season-long will be broadcast live and in high-definition on ITV channels.

Christian Dick, Team Principal, TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK, said:

“We are delighted to bring Fullriver Battery on-board, and honoured that the brand has chosen TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK as its partner in the BTCC. Fullriver has established a proven track record in the battery industry, and like us, is dedicated to delivering a first-class performance in every area, so the synergies are clear to see.

“Fullriver was attracted to the BTCC by the series’ strong B2B and B2C links, making the championship the perfect platform to support the strategic growth of its innovative Full Throttle range. We look forward to playing our part in that exciting journey.”

Patrick F. Leibrich, President, Fullriver Battery, said:

“Full Throttle Battery is thrilled to participate as a sponsor for TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK in the BTCC in 2024. We believe that the BTCC will be an excellent way to kick-start the launch of our brand in the UK market and what better team to work with than TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK!"
